The Boarding Pack

Home boarding licence in Sheffield

What to know before you apply to Sheffield City Council.

Start with Sheffield City Council

Sheffield City Council’s animal welfare licences page lists home boarding for dogs as a licensable activity. At the time of writing (October 2026), you send the application form and supporting documents to its Licensing Service, and the council then arranges to inspect your premises. Check with the Licensing Team which form applies to home boarding.
